you using secure Smartphone???
According
to data from
International Data Corporation (IDC), Worldwide Quarterly Mobile
Phone Tracker. The worldwide Smartphone market grew 13.0% year over year
in 2015 Q2.
In this article I am going to discuss about the
major top three Smartphone OS.
As above table, we can see that Android phones
dominated the market. Now, Do that 82.8% of Android phones are safe and secure?
Android phones uses Google account to work that means you are connected with
all the major services like Gmail, Google Drive, Hangout etc. If we discuss
about the security, we can’t forget that last year, a Russian hacker has posted
the usernames and passwords of 4.93 million Google accounts. So, after knowing
this event of hacking, how one can rest assured that it will not happen again.
Now come to the iOS, which is at the Second place
according to IDC. And we discuss about the security of this mobile phone OS
then go through this news that says “Apple's App Store Infected by Malware” (via
discovery tech news), reports said hundreds of apps including some of China's
most popular were infected with malware, code-named “Xcode Ghost” could transmit information about
a user’s machine, mount phishing attacks to try to steal passwords, and access
clipboard information. So the same question arises, how one can rest assured.
Now come to the less popular Windows Phone OS, have
not yet targeted by any threat may be due to their less popularity. In an interview with
ITWire, Kaspersky has discussed the major mobile operating systems, for
desktops and mobile devices, from a security standpoint, with Windows Phone
being the only competitor in the mobile market to be mentioned in a positive
light. "So far very clean", says Kaspersky.
